Meet Tom

Hi Guys! My name is Tom Shaw.

I started photography in 2015 as a hobby but instantly knew photography was were I wanted to be. After a trip to Salou, Spain in 2016 I came back to the UK and it's all I could think about!

I started off with a Panasonic Compact Camera which granted wasn't the best I then decided to move to the Canon PowerShot SX410IS and also the SX420IS cameras. At the time I was still learning the basics but knew I'd have to move to DSLRs so my 1st DSLR was the Canon 1300d but moved Swifty on to the Canon EOS 200D which I still use today.

Going solo and learning photography has really helped me grow as a photographer but still learn everyday! As I say everyday is a school day and that is definitely true in photography. Whether it be advice of another photographer or you learning a different technique yourself.

Photography for me has given me a different perspective to the word "work" yes it can be long hours especially in difficult conditions but it never stops me picking up the camera and heading out looking for something else to shoot.

I absolutely love covering sporting events. As an avid football fan for instance heading to my next game I get butterflies going into it almost as bad as the teams if their in a big match decider. Photography for me has opened up so many avenues and to see my work at the end once all the editing work is completed gives me huge job satisfaction.

Starting TSP (Tom Shaw Photography) is simply the best decision I have ever made. I want to share with you my work and my knowledge and help you create some beautiful memories for years to come.
